After my amazing time in Da Lat, it was time to move on to Ho Chi Minh City, known as Saigon. As I’m not much of a city person I was a bit skeptical about my visit there and was hoping to spend less time than I actually did. Little that I know, that I was in for an experience that almost faded away the whole journey from the start and made me want to move there as soon as possible. No it’s not the city that changed my views on Saigon, but it’s the people. I was couch surfing at a little coffee shop staying on the top floor in a shared room with some brothers and friends. Since day 1 they have accepted me and treated me like another member of their family. I decided that 1 days around Saigon was enough for me and extended my stay at the coffee shop to spend more time with them. Each night was a unique experience as we gathered around and enjoyed the evening together with music, beer and beautiful smiles all around. Looking forward to next year where hopefully I’ll be back there for a much longer time.
